PRESIDENTS’ MESSAGE

It is truly an honour to be the co-presidents of Sri Lankan Graduates’ Society (2020/21). SLGS, University of Melbourne, is something more than a simple student society. It is home to hundreds of Sri Lankan post-graduate students, providing support and welfare during their academic lives.

Painting the Sri Lankan vibe throughout the University and outside, SLGS organizes various Sri Lankan events ranging from ‘Vesak Celebrations’ to ‘Paduru Party.’ The SLGS committee consists of 16 members representing different schools/faculties of the University. They voluntarily contribute their time, talents, and efforts to make those events a success.

We would call SLGS a family that bonds all our members together, strengthening friendships and cooperation. We would be delighted to invite all Sri Lankan students, staff, and alumni of the University of Melbourne to join hands with us and be a part of the SLGS family.
