MESSAGE FROM OUR CO-PRESIDENTS
It is with great enthusiasm and a deep sense of responsibility that we step into the role of Co-Presidents of the Sri Lankan Graduates’ Society (SLGS) for the year 2025/26. Building on the strong foundation laid by previous committees, we are honoured to continue fostering a vibrant and connected Sri Lankan community at the University of Melbourne.
Our society is driven by a dedicated team of passionate committee members who bring diverse experiences and perspectives from across faculties. Together, we are committed to nurturing an inclusive space where members feel supported both academically and socially, while proudly embracing our shared cultural identity.
In the year ahead, we aim to expand our initiatives by introducing more engaging events, strengthening professional and academic networks, and creating meaningful opportunities for collaboration. From celebrating our rich traditions to exploring contemporary Sri Lankan culture, we hope to bring our community closer while also sharing our heritage with the wider university community.
SLGS remains a home away from home, a place where friendships are formed, experiences are shared, and lasting memories are created. Whether you are new to Melbourne or have been here for years, we encourage you to be part of this journey.
We warmly invite all Sri Lankan postgraduate students and staff to join us in making 2025/26 a year of growth, connection, and celebration.
