CO-PRESIDENTS’ MESSAGE

We are deeply honoured and privileged to serve as co-presidents of the Sri Lankan Graduates’ Society (SLGS) for the academic year 2023/24 at the University of Melbourne. It fills us with immense pride to lead an exceptional team that represents and supports the Sri Lankan community within this prestigious institution.
Our society comprises over 100 remarkable individuals from various schools and faculties across the university, each bringing their unique skills and passions to celebrate and promote our rich Sri Lankan heritage. Through our website, you will discover a series of cultural activities that we have curated to showcase Sri Lanka’s vibrant culture and traditions to the university community and the wider Melbourne area.
For us, SLGS is more than a society; it is a close-knit family of Sri Lankan postgraduate students, staff, and alumni who build lasting friendships and share enriching experiences. We warmly invite all Sri Lankan students at the University of Melbourne to join us, adding to the strength and vibrancy of our community. Together, we anticipate a fulfilling and memorable year ahead.
